A couple years ago, Skotte played an Alternate Reality Game (or ARG) run by the Smithsonian Museum of American Art, called Ghost of a Chance. In the game, we received letters from dead people, and were asked to construct things which would let those people come to peace with their lives. Skotte built this headstone, and propped it up in the fFront yard fFor halloween. McDoggerel was a ribald actor who had lost his lady love in 1856, met an unhappy end himself, and had started haunting the Smithsonian Museum. Poor fFellow.
Also, while we’re on the subject, Skotte made an awesome painting which is now in the Smithsonian.
Here’s the painting in normal light, mixed light, and ultraviolet light.
So that’s pretty cool. =)
