We got this shirt in about 2003 in Pittsburgh. You may remember the Girls Don’t Poop shirt (#168!). Their website was creativeendz.com, but now the site is a nail salon in Canada!
Let’s talk about the shirt…
Barbara Stanwyck was a force to be reckoned with! She appeared on stage, film and television. During her tenure as a Hollywood actress, she was in 85 movies!
Stanwyck also has a big gay following! According to this article from Out magazine, lesbians supported and admired her independent spirit.
Journalist Boze Hadleigh asked her the following that only leads to more speculation!
Q: Do you think bisexuality was very widespread among female stars during Hollywood’s heyday?
A: … I heard that Dietrich, Garbo, most of the girls from Europe, swing either way. Then I found out it’s true.
