Cori: When I was a kid, maybe around ten years old, my mom and aunt (her twin) explained to a friend and I that drinking baking soda would make us burp. Of course, we had to try this out. We got out two glasses and put juice in them. I got out a 1/4 teaspoon and the baking soda. My friend was in charge of putting the baking soda in. Then we stood around the kitchen giggling madly, daring each other to try it first. Finally, we had a countdown.
3… 2… 1… DRINK!

My friend later admitted she added the tiniest bit to her drink, and about 4 heaping 1/4 teaspoons to mine, maybe even more.
