There are many cool gaming and fan conventions in the Upstate New York. SimCon is at the University of Rochester. Skotte has been going for several years.
There are several reasons to attend this con. It’s local! It’s really important to support games and culture in the area. It is also fairly economical. Skotte doesn’t have to find a place to stay.
The convention has had some ups and downs — we can’t even find their main homepage, right now — but it attracts a number of out of town guests, which is great.
This is probably one of the first convention shirts Skotte purchased, too.
