Our friend Woody gave this shirt to Skotte after traveling.
Who can resist these adorable compressed shirts!!!
Now Skotte wants to start a compressed shirt collection.
Oh dear!
You’ve probably at least heard of Guinness. It is an Irish dry stout. I think we had some for St. Patrick’s Day one year. (We’re not big drinkers!)
What we didn’t know is this:
One of the managing directors of Guinness in the 1950s, Sir Hugh Beaver, started the Guinness Book of World Records! He was on a hunting party, and got in a debate about which is the fastest game bird in Europe – the golden plover or the grouse! (You’ll have to get your own book to find out! Or, just google for it…) He decided that maybe such a book would be a great idea to settle arguments and to learn interesting facts like this one. The book became an unexpected success.
Who knew?
Who knew? I did. And I don’t understand the attraction to Guinness. Too dry, incredibly bitter…
